Christelle has been watching her family build businesses since birth. Naturally, when she graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A. (Hon.) in 2005, she would return to Jamaica to work in her family businesses. As a director of Everglades Farms Limited and its subsidiary world-renowned rum distillery, Hampden Estate, she represents the distillery’s highly respected rum products internationally.

In 2008, she established the Christelle Harris Charity Fund, as corporate social responsibility is a driving force in her life. Since the expansion of the family’s business operations from Kingston to Trelawny in 2009, all funds raised through CHCF have been used to improve infrastructure in schools and churches and the learning environment in numerous schools within the vicinities of the group’s operations. Through CHCF, she has significantly positively impacted the lives of countless Jamaicans.

She serves as a director in many of the Hussey Group of Companies’ businesses, spanning the hospitality, gaming, service, manufacturing, and retail industries. She is passionate about educating people about rum, for which she is considered one of the industry’s leading voices in the world. As a director of the historic Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel, she embraces the opportunity to provide guests with the ultimate hospitality experience, however long or short their visit may be. Superior service is her standard.
